Our Services and Programs

All meals served are hot and nutritious and provide one third of the RDA requirements for Protein, Calcium, Vitamins A and C, and Iron.

Congregate Meal Nutrition Program:  All Seniors 60 and over can come to the center and enjoy a noon meal four days a week.  Spouses and disabled dependents, regardless of age, can also enjoy this noon meal when accompanied by a senior. We serve at Noon to 1:00 pm Monday through Thursday.  Guests of all ages are always welcome to come and eat a delicious noon meal at the center.

Meals on Wheels Nutrition Program:  This program provides a nutritious daytime meal seven days a week to homebound seniors 60 and over, their spouse (regardless of age), a disabled child (under 60) who resides with a qualified senior and to caregivers, who take care of a senior.  Services are intended to maintain or improve the health status of these individuals, support their independence, prevent premature institutionalization and allow earlier discharge from hospitals, nursing homes or other residential care facilities.  To see if you qualify for this service, please call the Area Office on Aging in Idaho Falls, EICAP @ 208- 522-5391.  If you qualify we can start delivery of your meal right away.

Transportation Program:  This program provides help with transportation to our local seniors who don't wish to drive themselves or who can no longer drive anymore.  We have a very nice 16 passenger van, which is also equipped with a wheelchair lift.  We will pick you up and bring you to lunch daily and back home.  We are also available for doctor appointments, shopping, post office, banking, hair appointments, etc.  We take a bus load to Ashton Senior center for lunch on Fridays.  We take seniors swimming to Green Canyon in the summer and also plan excursion and fun trips when there is enough interest.
